A Kenyan man has ignited a debate on social media after sharing his little brother's Kenya Certificate of Secondary School (KCSE) results.

The national exams for the more than 895,000 candidates were released earlier today, Monday, January 8, at the Moi Girls High School.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter), a man leaked the results of his brother, who scored a D minus in the just-released results, causing many to question why he had shared them as they were not quite impressive.

"I am just wondering how will get home?" he captioned the screenshot of the results.

Many faulted him for sharing the results, but he insisted his brother should be proud of his score after four years in high school.

"He studied for four years in high school and this is what he got. He should be proud of it," he said.

How can parents support KCSE candidates?

Here is what a section of Kenyans had to say:

@Sitanycheptoo said:

"You should buy him a motorbike and now wait for KDF recruitment."

@Douglas said:

"You will be surprised when actually becomes even more successful."

Many Kenyans encouraged the man not to discourage his brother despite the not-so-pleasing results and, instead, uplift his soul so that he could use his other abilities to succeed.

@Grace__Mwende

"Your parent's next steps will determine the mindset this boy will have in life, if they break him with words, he may end up a failure, but if they encourage and support him and his dreams, he will do well in life."

@Madara-dif

"You guys should raise money and buy him a motorbike. It's not the end of life."

AMREF CEO celebrates brilliant son

Elsewhere, it was a happy moment for a parent after his bright son performed excellently in the just-released 2023 KCSE exams.

Global African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) CEO Githinji Gitahi took to social media to congratulate his handsome and bright boy.

Gitahi's son, who is called like his father, Gitahi Githinji, managed a mean grade of A in the national examinations.
