What was meant to be a disappointing Christmas season for Amos Koech Rono is turning out to be a month filled with glamour and fun.

Amos was heartbroken when his wedding, which was meant to happen in Bomet last week, was cancelled at the last minute.

Amos goes to Mombasa

Everything had been planned, only for him to be told that his big day would not happen as his would-be bride had allegedly bailed out.

The CEO of Bonfire A,dventures Simon Kabu, offered him a fully paid holiday in Mombasa to soothe the heartbreak and return re-energised.

Photos shared by Kalenjins Online have captured Amos going through the airport procedure and boarding an aircraft headed to the coast.

From the look on his face, Amos is turning a potentially disheartening situation into an exhilarating adventure.

Kabu shared a video of their meeting on his Facebook page, stating that he intended to give Amos something to make him forget his troubles.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, the businessman expressed confidence that Amos would return anew when the getaway was over.

Kabu was joyful that the would-be groom may have been affected psychologically but was improving.

The kindhearted entrepreneur disclosed that he had a lengthy talk with Amos, where he opened up about his heartbreak.

Amos will undergo counselling

He noted that he would have wished to take Amos and Nelly on honeymoon, but the turn of events means only one is going.

Kabu advised Amos to stop dwelling on the past, overcome the situation and embrace new beginnings.

To help him go through the phase quickly, the businessman asked counsellors willing to offer services for free to reach out.

"Apart from the four-day holiday, we are also getting him a counsellor to take him through the healing process," he said.
