A bride-to-be has revealed that she has blacklisted her biological parents from her upcoming wedding because she refused to support her financially.

According to The Mirror, the entitled woman and her fiance got engaged during the summer and began planning the wedding.

She had always longed for a grand wedding and was particular about the dress, flowers, and the first dance.

Given that she wanted to have that one day where she was the centre of attention, the event needed meticulous planning and lots of finances.

To make her dream of a big ceremony and reception that matched her fantasy, she roped in her parents to contribute.

Bride says parents lack empathy

The bride-to-be was shocked when her parents, who had previously promised to support her wedding, reneged.

"They said that they've had a bad run of luck with their finances of late and that, because my husband and I both work in high-paid jobs, they feel the responsibility to pay for a big wedding rests with us," she lamented.

The woman added that they remained firm on their decision despite her attempts to reason with them.

She admitted that their decision upset her because it showed their lack of sympathy over her biggest day.

"I ultimately told them that if they don't want to be a part of the wedding financially, they just shouldn't bother coming," she said.

The woman admitted that since the disagreement, she had distanced herself from her parents and ignored pleas from her sister, friends, and other family members to reconsider her decision.

Back home, the mother of the Bomet groom, whose wedding was cancelled over the weekend, came out guns blazing to defend her son.

The woman named Sarah disclosed that she was Amos's mother and had accepted Nelly Chepkoech wholeheartedly as a daughter-in-law.

She urged her to find another man and leave her son alone because she had not been truthful during their courtship.
