COTU boss Francis Atwoli's daughter, Maria Atwoli, has blasted Kenyans for accepting the high cost of living.
Via her X app account, the young Maria loves to engage Kenyans on the cost of living.
She noted that Kenyans were very reluctant to champion their rights outside of social media.

Maria claimed that the government knew Kenyans were all talking on social media, and they could not protest over the cost of living.
She said:
"One thing the government knows is that Kenyans are chill... Kazi ni kelele Twitter alafu you accept…Have you seen the way the French protest hata cost of living ikipanda na 5 bob…they will go after you..your parents & children.. anyways form iko wapi leo."
Here is what she said:
Luqmanovski:
"The limits of the oppressor are prescribed by the oppressed: Africans we have a very high tolerance for BS."
@sangdebby:
"The fruit doesn’t fall far... so unataka tusaidie babako kupiga kelele. Your dad was doing exactly the same… but what happened when tables turned? He almost swallowed his tongue! That’s Kenyans for you."
@Yacommentor:
"How can they protest if the same people headed by your father are fully behind whatever the gvt is doing?"
@gdbfrnd:
"Tell them, when the only people with balls go to the streets fellow Kenya’s call them watu y’a kurusha mawe. Kazi ni Kelele Twitter tu."
The young Maria, after noticing that Kenyans were worked up over her tweet, chided them.
Atwoli's daughter noted that she would hang out with her rich friends as the rest concentrated on their 8–5 jobs.
She wrote:
"Let me get up. I go hangout with my rich friends, waniconsole… Mconcentrate job zenu..we resume at 5 mkitoka hustle."
In a separate story, Maria revealed how protective hers is, sharing an excerpt of a WhatsApp conversation in which he scolded her for sneaking out of home to go make merry.
Maria had apparently left home without informing her father, who took issue with it.
The contents of Atwoli's message in the WhatsApp conversation, borne in a tweet that was later deleted, read:
"Why didn't you talk to me before you leave for parties? You just sneak out. To me, you are a child. I must be aware of your movements as a responsible parent."
The revelation was not the first time Maria has shown netizens a different side of her dad.
