Kenyan author JB Omukangala has taken to social media to expose a disturbing trend where certain individuals shamelessly stalk his clients, seeking free copies of his books.

The author, known for his works such as Campus Diaries, expressed his frustration by shedding light on the audacious behaviour of those who can afford his books but choose not to buy them.

In a post that resonated with many, Omukangala, who questioned the decency of such actions, wrote,

"Halafu kuna hawa: people that can afford my books but they choose not to buy them for some reason."

"And for Campus Diaries pdf, they will shamelessly sniff through the comment sections to see who has bought and then inbox them to ask them to share for free or 'airtime price,; he added.

Omukangala, who understands the financial constraints some of his followers may face, has made efforts to provide more affordable options, yet some still choose to exploit the generosity.

"I sometimes sell the pdf for 100/- in case some of my followers can't afford 300/-, but some will make efforts to get it for free. Je, huu ni ungwana?" he posed.

Omukangala's post has sparked a lively discussion on social media, with many readers and fans expressing their support for the author and condemning the freeloaders' behaviour.
