The Kenyan government has unveiled the prices for affordable houses in Nakuru.

The announcement comes as part of the government's commitment to providing accessible housing solutions to a wider population, but the costs have been deemed high for mama mboga and other hustlers.

In a notice, the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development invited applications from interested buyers.

What's the cost of affordable houses in Nakuru?

The ministry noted that a two-bedroom measuring 64 square feet will cost KSh 3.15 million, while a three-bedroom measuring housing measuring 85 square feet will retail at KSh 4.25 million.

"Interested members of the public are hereby invited to purchase ready units at the affordable housing project in Bondeni, Nakuru.

Prospective purchasers are invited to visit the Bondeni housing site to view the houses and register to purchase on the Boma Yangu portal," the ministry stated.
