Larry Madowo Elated After Prison Break Star Sarah Wayne Compliments His Socks: "I've Peaked"

CNN International correspondent Larry Madowo could not hide his joy when Prison Break actress Sarah Wayne Collies noticed his socks.

Sarah played Sara Tancredi in Prison Break. She has starred in several hit series, including The Walking Dead as Lori Grimes and Birdie Nicolletti in The Company You Keep.

Madowo was interviewing the actress at the Web Summit in Portugal when she pointed out his socks.

The actress noted that Madowo's socks were the best she had seen at the summit.

"Your socks...greatest socks at Web Summit," Sarah said.

Madowo, who also interviewed former footballer Patrice Evra at the conference, was elated by Sarah's comment, taking to his Instagram to share his excitement.

"A superstar complimented my socks! Please don't talk to me. Sarah Wayne Callies from Prison Break & The Walking Dead said they were "the best socks at Web Summit" (70,000 attendees). I think I've peaked. It's downhill from here on," he wrote.

He was wearing colourful happy socks from a South African sock Company. They cost about KSh1400 a pair.

Larry Madowo's rainbow-coloured socks raise eyebrows

Oddly, Madowo gained much-unwanted attention last year after flaunting his happy socks during a panel discussion in Togo.

His fans were quick to spot the colour of his happy socks.

Many of them wanted to know whether Madowo was confirming that he is a member of LGBTQ since the socks had rainbow colours.
