Part of the lengthy post read:
"At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust. I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception. I am tempted to run into shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have gained my strength enough for me to say, 'whatever, my life is better this way'."
In an Instagram video, Lupita disclosed that she was gifted ten books which helped her heal her broken heart.
"These books are doing wonders for me. Do you have any to add to the list? #Heartbreak #Healing #GiftIdeas," she captioned the video.
The books include When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times by Pema Chodron, Untamed by Glennon Doyle and The Wisdom of a Broken Heart by Susan Piver.
Other books on Lupita's list are Moving on Doesn't Mean Letting Go by Ginna Moffa, LCSW, All About Love: New Visions by Bell Hooks and A Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of 'A Course in Miracles' by Marianne Williamson,
You Could Make This Place Beautiful by Maggie Smith, Thirst by Mary Oliver, Survival Takes a Wild Imagination by Fariha Roisin, and Change Me Prayers: The Hidden Power of Spiritual Surrender by Tosha Silver were the rest of the books that helped the stress cope with her aching heart.
In other news, Lupita recently disclosed that she found solace and healing through therapy sessions following her split from Selema.
In a video on her Instagram, the actress stated that she was grateful for the therapy she has been undergoing, saying it helped her keep her wits.
Lupita expressed gratitude for the tears she shed, acknowledging their role in allowing her to release and overcome her emotional pain.
She also acknowledged the value of receiving the truth even when it was painful or uncomfortable.
