SDA Pastor Cautions Ladies Against Marrying Divorced Men: "Their Wives Always Come Back"

• According to preachers, most women who are divorced tend to go back to their husbands, regardless of how long it takes
• She argued that women who marry divorced men tend to live in limbo since they worry about the reappearance of the first woman or the kids who may disinherit her

Pastor Elizabeth Mokoro has warned women to avoid dating men who are divorced because their marriages are still intact in heaven.

According to the tough-talking preacher, women should avoid falling for lies shared by divorced men because, eventually, their estranged wives will come back.

Why women shouldn't marry divorced men

"Let no man lie to you that their wives left. If you have a way of finding out they have died, you can marry him. But if he tells you that he divorced, don't let divorce lie to you that you can remarry someone. That marriage is still intact in heaven. And those that have tried have always had fear of what if she comes back," she said.

According to Mokoro, most women live in fear of the divorced man's family showing up, even when he dies.

"You do not need to tie yourself to such things. Men are out here free. Why would you be tied to someone who was once married?" she added.

Elizabeth Mokoro gives tips on finding single men

The woman of God also urged women to be open to marrying outside their towns or cultures if they are only finding divorced men in their communities.

She further gave an example of a man who remarried and lied that he would never take his wife back should she return, only for him to renege on his words months later.

According to Mokoro, the man's mother was the first person to welcome the estranged wife, only for the two ladies to find themselves in a polygamous marriage.

"Those women come back, and they just come back when you begin to enjoy your life and disrupt everything," she said.

Mokoro criticises men who fundraise for dowry

In a different story, Mokoro stirred netizens after calling out men who fundraise money for their dowry.

Mokoro emphasised that dowry was not a currency for exchanging the girl, but a yardstick used to show that the man could take care of his bride.

The SDA cleric said that when one solicits funds for dowry, it means they can't take care of their women.
