President William Ruto is elated after the World Economic Forum ranked Kenya's human capital the best in the world.

Ruto urged global employers seeking employees to consider Kenyans who have the required skills in different fields.

Ruto's MOU with the Indian government

Speaking during his two-day visit to India, Ruto said he reached an agreement with the government of India to collaborate in sharpening human capital between the two countries.

"The World Economic Forum has rated Kenya's human capital as the best in the world. So if you are looking for people to work in your business or enterprise or investment and you need engineers or bankers or investment people or whatever you need, you will find them in Kenya," said Ruto.

"We just signed an MOU between the Indira Gandhi National Open University and the Open University of Kenya to share courses, to share capacities, so that we can train our people more, added on to the human capital we already have," he noted.

The head of state said the bilateral ties align with the government's Bottom-Up Economic Agenda.

Ruto's job promises to Kenyans

In his recent tour of Germany during the G20 Compact with Africa Conference in Berlin, Ruto met European nations' leaders.

He spoke to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in a meeting aimed at strengthening economic ties between Kenya and Germany.

The president promised to secure jobs for more than 200,000 Kenyans in the European country.

Ruto noted that his administration is working day and night to ensure that 3,000 Kenyans secure jobs abroad every week.
