A cloud of pain and shock has hovered over Olulunga area in Narok county after two matatus collided on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 8.
Information shared on social media indicated that the matatus collided head-on at Olulunga along the Narok- Kaplong highway.
According to a report by Inooro FM, at least eight people sustained serious injuries after the chilling collision.
Road safety agency Sikika said one of the matatus had school children on board as primary and secondary institutions around the country close for the second term.

Radio 47 reported that two students perished in the grisly accident.
In other news, on Monday, August 7, Nyamaiya Member of County Assembly (MCA) and the majority leader in the county's legislative unit Elijah Osiemo also died in a road accident.
In a grisly road accident along the Maai Mahiu-Naivasha road, the car he was travelling in got involved in a ghastly road accident.
In a statement by Nyaribo seen by TUKO.co.ke, Osiemo was in the same car with two other MCAs; Duke Masira and Priscilla Nyatichi, when the accident occurred.
Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo confirmed the incident as he expressed shock over the demise of a leader he described as young with an immense political future.
Nyamira County directed that the body of Osiemo be transported to Nairobi for preservation.
In a separate story, five pupils were among the casualties in a road carnage at a spot along the Webuye-Eldoret road.
The deadly crash occurred on the evening of Saturday, June 24, near the Chemoi black spot.
The learners from Busia's Ebenezer Academy were aboard their school bus when it rolled over after being rammed on the side by a heavy truck.
Busia governor Paul Otuoma issued a statement commiserating with those who lost their loved ones.
