DSTV For Business Customers To Pay More From August As MultiChoice Increases Subscription Costs

• DSTV for business subscribers will pay between KSh 10 and KSh 340 more from August 1, depending on their package
• The Play Ultra package will attract a fee of KSh 340 more as customers will be required to pay KSh 13,000
• Work Essential, Stay Segment Specialist Add-On, and XtraView users will have their prices increased from KSh 1,660, KSh 410 and KSh 2,600 to KSh 1,700, KSh 420 and KSh 2,700

MultiChoice, the parent firm for DSTV, has adjusted prices for its business customers upwards.

From August 1, DSTV for business subscribers will pay between KSh 10 and KSh 340 more, depending on their package.

Ultra package customers will part with KSh 2,875 up from KSh 2,780, whereas those registered on Stay Essential bouquet will have their costs increased from KSh 2,080 to KSh 2,150.

On the other hand, Stay Basic customers will see the cost of their package rise by KSh 70 to KSh 1,350, Citizen Digital reports.

At the same time, the Play Ultra package will attract a fee of KSh 340 more as customers will be required to pay KSh 13,000.

Those subscribed to the Play Essential package and paying KSh 8,280 will pay KSh 8,500. Work Ultra customers will pay KSh 140 more as their cost was increased to KSh 5,000.

Meanwhile, Work Essential, Stay Segment Specialist Add-On, and XtraView users will have their prices increased from KSh 1,660, KSh 410 and KSh 2,600 to KSh 1,700, KSh 420 and KSh 2,700 respectively.

New DSTV and GOTV packages

Multichoice also announced that DSTV Access, currently offered at KSh 1250 per month, will now cost KSh 1300 monthly.

For the DSTV Family package, the price has been adjusted to KSh 1,850 per month from the initially charged KSh 1,750.

For the DSTV Compact package, subscribers will be required to pay KSh 3,500 instead of the initial KSh 3,300.

Further in the changes, the DSTV Compact Plus package will now go for KSh 6,200, an increase from KSh 5,900 previously charged.

Finally, the DStv Premium package charges have increased from KSh 9,500 to KSh 9,900 monthly.

For GOTV users, the price of the GOTV Max bouquet has been increased to KSh 1,449 from KSh 1,349 previously charged.

The GOTV SUPA bouquet's charges have been increased from KSh 1,749 to KSh 1,899 per month inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).
