Makueni Female Police Officer Stabbed To Death By Man Seen Leaving Her House With Knife

Makueni - A female police officer from Makueni county has been stabbed to death in a harrowing attack that left Emali residents in fear and shock.

Diana Mwende was allegedly knifed to death by a male civilian who was seen leaving her house holding the murder weapon after he allegedly committed the heinous act.

According to a report by the Nairobi News, Mwende, who was attached to the Railway Police Station in Emali in Makueni, sustained serious injuries on her neck and face.

Members of the public saw the man leaving her house with the weapon, and they tried chasing him but could not catch him.

“Eyewitnesses say a young man was seen coming from the plot holding a knife and ran away. Members of the public chased the man who had stabbed a woman in Umasaini area," a police report indicated.

By the time police officers arrived at the scene of the murder, the woman had already died.

The body has since been moved to Kilome Nursing and Maternity Hospital Morgue for an autopsy as investigations into the incident continue.

The suspect has since been arrested.

This incident unravelled at a time when Kenyans are still reeling from shock after a horrific attack that was meted on an official from Kilifi.

Rahab Karisa was stabbed by her servant on the dawn of Thursday, July 20, at her home in Mnarani Classic Estate that adjoins Kilifi town from a distance.

Some missing money was pointed at as the possible motive behind the murder; the suspect took off immediately.

However, a little over a week ago, she was apprehended as she was trying to leave the country.

Elsewhere, a chilling Closed Circuit Television footage emerged on social media two weeks ago and showed the harrowing moment when a man stabbed a woman after an argument in the supermarket.

The CCTV footage showed the man dressed in an orange hoodie seemingly having an altercation with the woman presumed to be his lover, and when she tried to leave his presence, he pulled her behind.

After quickly looking around to see if anyone was checking him out, he stabbed the lady with an object that seemed like a sharp knife.
