Glady's chronicled her six-year-long struggle with natural hair, beginning in 2016, to achieve the luscious, voluminous natural hair she proudly wears today.

The young lady posted the video on her handle @NaturalhairbyGladys, where she opened up about her hair journey in the video that has gained significant attention.

Gladys started her natural hair journey after she noticed that her hair was prone to breakage and her hairline was receding.

"I decided to do my research, and I started my natural hair journey," read part of the captions accompanying the video.

She made a decision to abstain from using heat treatments and abandoned going to salons in order to take charge of her hair.

How did she manage natural hair?

Gladys invested in an array of natural hair products, even admitting that her commitment to the cause came close to draining her bank account.

However, her dedication paid off as her hair started to grow back, and her hairline regained its former strength.

To look neat at work, Gladys experimented with various protective hairstyles, making sure her hair was both stylish and healthy.

At one point, she temporarily reverted to salon visits and even braided hairstyles. She did not disclose her reason for reverting to the old routine.

However, the fragility of her hair under these treatments quickly became apparent, forcing her back to her natural hair journey.

"It started growing back, and I couldn't hide my happiness. My hair surprised me with growth, and I continued taking good care of it," Gladys shared with evident joy in her video.
