"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the festival scheduled for Uhuru Gardens."

They explained that it was caused by unmet financial obligations while apologising for the disappointment.

The organisers then addressed the hordes of Kenyans who had already purchased tickets.

“A significant portion of the funds had already been allocated to compensate our talented artistes and performers. While we would like to provide immediate refunds, we want to be transparent about our financial situation.
Our team is actively working to secure the necessary additional funds to process refunds as soon as possible.”

They then gave a timeline of 45 to 60 days to disburse refunds.

"We understand waiting for a refund can be frustrating, and we request your patience and understanding."

The organisers then said they were strategising for the future and urged those with questions and concerns to reach them via info @shokeshoke.com
