His undoing however is lacking people to offset his fees whose arrears have been accruing.

However, coming to his rescue, the school principal assured him "all shall be well".

Nabungolo shared in Claude's struggles and offered to help me through them.

The head teacher went ahead to appeal for help on behalf of the boy from the school's well-wishing community.

"My son here once came to share with me the challenges he has gone through, and I nearly shed tears. Put yourself in his shoes, that your home is Kakuma Refugee Camp, that you are displaced, and that you can't locate your parents. He worked hard to merit to join this school.
Displaced as he is, he needs his education. When school closes, he goes to his refugee camp. His fees is an issue, This school is actually his immediate home. I am appealing; that there is strength in helping someone, so that we are also able to lift his hand," he said.

Meanwhile, the association of the school's alumni have taken the initiative to raise monies to help offset Claudie's fees balance.

Dubbed St. Joseph's Boys Kitale Alumni Association, the former learners called on each other, and other well-wishers, to help Claude.

"We, the alumni have a record of assisting one another, and as such, I am appealing to each and every one of you for your support towards Claude. Any kind of support, whether it is financial or in-kind, will be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration,"
