The education journey of two orphaned siblings from Machakos is tittering on the brink of collapse if help does not come their way, urgently.
According to a report by K24, Diana Nduku and her brother, a Form Two student at Kitulu Secondary School have been struggling with education since their parents died.
They were taken in by their uncle and aunt who are unable to afford the fees needed for them to continue with their studies.

During the emotional interview, Diana revealed that initially, she had applied for a chance to pursue a Diploma in Nursing at Chuka University but had to shelve the idea.
"When that one didn't go through, I applied again through KUCCPS but and told I don't meet the requirements. However, during the second application I was offered a Diploma in Environmental Science," she said.
The uncle explained that he took the orphans in because he figured they were young and would suffer if no one came through for them.
With limited resources and a meagre income, the youngsters dreams of receiving an education and breaking the cycle of poverty seem to be hanging by a thread.
It is due to this that they sent out a passionate appeal to the Machakos County Government or other well-wishers to come to their aid.
They are optimistic that education will be their only way to a brighter future ahead and out of their hardship.
In a more positive story, the Homa Bay County government recently paid fees for a Form One student who was abandoned by the mother after TUKO highlighted her plea.
Jane Akinyi sat her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in 2022 at Kalando Primary School and scored 390 marks.
She was called to join Moi Girls High School Isinya in Kajiado County but was unable to raise tuition fees until the county government came to her rescue.
