Nairobi - Trade and Industrialisation Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has lauded the peace talks between President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
In a statement, the outspoken CS said the new talks between the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party were good for the economy.
"The resumption of bipartisan talks is good news for investments and the economy in general. Violence is not the way to resolve political differences," said Kuria.

While referring to Ruto and Raila as his bosses, Kuria said all Kenyans are behind the new talks even though he warned against any attempts to create a handshake government.
According to the former Gatundu South MP, the new round of talks provides an opportunity to pull together as a country.
''It's time to pull together as a nation with a strong government and even stringer opposition to keep us in check. To my bosses William Ruto and Raila Odinga, you are on the right side of history. All Kenyans are behind you for as long as we do not create another Mongrel like the Nusu Mkate confusion," he added.
Elsewhere, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi explained that Kenya does not need mediators because it is not in an international crisis.
Mudavadi asserted that there is no power vacuum in the country since Ruto was duly elected and sworn in.
"Kenya is not in a state of international crisis. There is no need to call in former presidents to mediate on issues that can be resolved locally. Kenya has not reached the point where it requires foreign mediation," Mudavadi said.
He rejected involving an international mediator to facilitate discussions between Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
The prime cabinet secretary emphasised Ruto holds full legal and constitutional authority over the country's leadership.
"The transition of power from President Ruto's predecessor to him was conducted in accordance with the constitution. In broad daylight, he was handed the sword as the Commander-in-Chief," he said.
