Narok - Every morning, a determined Isaac Kariuki gets ready for school just like any other child; he doesn't let the fact that he has to walk with his knees limit him.
In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Mwalimu Daniel Mutai said that Kariuki, who is in PP2 at Wamoja Academy in Mau Narok, has to go to school with a caregiver every morning.
In the evening, he is also picked up by the caregiver.

"He stands and walks using his knees and which poses a lot of challenges; not being able to go to the bathroom without assistance, walking during the rainy season and feeling pains in his knees," said Mutai.
Kariuki was referred to an orthopaedic consultant when he was one- year- old. His father, a casual labourer, cannot meet the required amount.
"We're calling for an early medical assessment for intervention in these early years. He needs KSh 20,000 to start his treatment," said Mutai.
Kariuki was not given a supportive device because of age (infant). He's still young and corrective measures can help.
"The parents need help for the treatment process to kick off; it's very expensive considering the background of the family. Let's put together our minds and hands to help this kid," she said.
