A woman who was searching for her missing father for 10 years, only to learn that he was long dead, has launched another search for a family member she believes is her brother.

Fridah Mukiri Harriet said on discovering her dad's death, she was informed he had married another woman whom he sired a son with.

Mukiri, who intimated she was abandoned by her father when she was three, ended the search for the man after his friends broke the news that he had been discovered dead in Eastleigh.

According to Wahome Thuku, who was helping Mukiri reconnect with her father, the man separated from her mother because of alcoholism.

"When in Nairobi, the father had a relationship with another woman, and they begot a son," a post read.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the grieving mother of one was determined to find her stepbrother despite not knowing his name and face.

"While searching for my father, the news surfaced about him and having another family. I have some support searching for my stepbrother, but it has not been fruitful. He seems to do what my dad was doing; running away, so it will not be easy," she said.

Who is helping Mukiri in search of brother?

Mukiri said she was solely relying on leads and help from other sources to get updates on her stepbrother.

"He moved from the last place he was seen. I understand that he has no family. I am adamant we will find him. I am very sure," she commented.
