"He entered street life and became an adult parking boy. He started collecting plastics and other litter in the streets and sleeping in garbage and drainage. He broke down completely.
Corona hit in 2020, and the man could not withstand the wrath. He died in the streets somewhere in Eastleigh. Friends identified the body. It was collected by police as an unclaimed body and buried where no one knows," part of the post read.

Meru lady learns dad was alcoholic

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Mukiri, originally from Meru county was both in relief and pain after knowing her father's whereabouts.

She had longed to meet him for the sake of her daughter so that she may meet her grandfather, but the search ended in tears.

"When I learned he was an alcoholic, I was prepared for the worst. I knew we would clash in ideas, and it would not be easy perhaps to reconcile and have a conversation, but I was ready and determined to still reunite with him," Mukiri said.

Mukiri, based in the Netherlands, where she has lived since 2018, said she was still putting the puzzle together as she sought clarity.

She was in denial, Mukiri

The woman said she had kept the search far from her mother and sister as she did not want to involve them until she was compelled to share the negative news.

"I took some time before I could inform them. I was also shocked. Even if I don't know him, I couldn't believe hearing he is no more and how he even died broke my heart. I had to put myself together before I could inform them. They both find me a very strong woman, so if I were to show them I am affected, it would have torn them apart. I informed my mum later on before she went to bed.
She was in denial. She said that couldn't be possible, so I let her believe it was impossible and probably dad is alive. It was somehow like letting her accept it. Later this morning, we talked about it. As for my sister, I informed her around 11pm Kenyan time because she was late from work. She was equally shattered; I could feel the pain in her voice. But I somehow kept her put. We are all dealing with it differently," she noted.
