Oscar Sudi Asks Jackson Mandago To Sell Land Repay Parents In Finland Saga: "Wacha Mchezo"

• He asked leaders to be honest in their transactions with people who elected them as their custodians

Eldoret - Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has asked Uasin Gishu senator Jackson Mandago to sell land and repay parents whose money court lost in the Finland Saga.

Sudi explained that the four individuals whose name has been mentioned in the Finland education scandal must ensure they refund the money because they are not poor.

Oscar Sudi: Money was withdrawn

The MP also confirmed that money was withdrawn from the accounts and that there was evidence that could be provided to the public.

"Tell Mandago to stop joking and refund people's money. He should sell land and repay the money. All characters named in that saga have money. They are not poor. They stole your money. If you want facts, we will bring them. Money must be repaid," Sudi said amidst cheers from the crowd.

Speaking during an event at his constituency, the ally of President William Ruto asked elected leaders to ensure they care for money meant for wananchi.

"Let us be wise and avoid fighting each other. Let's be together and work for the people. That is why I will tell the truth, whether you like it or not. The truth must be said. Anyone elected to be a governor, MCA, senator, MP or Woman Representative must care for money belonging to wananchi," he explained.

Oscar Sudi: Stop flying the tribal card

He asked leaders implicated in the Finland saga to avoid playing the tribal card when justice is followed.

"Do not steal people's money; when justice is followed, you start playing the tribal card. When you were stealing, did you forget the people? I am asking those in the Finland saga to repay the money. People sold their land, animals, and properties, and others borrowed loans. Then, when they asked for their money, you started playing the tribal card," the Kapseret MP urged.

Sudi opined leaders found in the wrong must admit liability, ask for forgiveness and do the right thing.

Daily demos by Finland scholarship victims

A section of Uasin Gishu Overseas Scholarship Programme victims vowed to hold daily demonstrations in Eldoret town beginning next week.

They said they have resolved to have the maandamano to compel the county to refund the monies they paid for aborted scholarships to Finland and Canada.

Janet Koech, a victim of the Uasin Gishu Overseas Scholarship Programme, said that the back and forth by the county leadership is shattering their dreams and undermining their mental wellness.
