Nairobi - On Monday, August 21, President William Ruto hosted his Indonesian counterpart, Joko Widodo, at State House, Nairobi.

Ruto said the bilateral talks were meant to strengthen the cooperation with Indonesia to exploit their trade potential, especially in the edible oil industry.

Mudavadi shared photos of the state house meeting, saying he was honoured to have witnessed the signing of several bilateral agreements between Kenya and Indonesia.

"Today, I had the honour of joining President William Samoei Ruto in welcoming the Indonesian president and witnessing the signing of several bilateral agreements," Mudavadi said.

However, observant Kenyans raised eyebrows after noticing a photo in which Gachagua seemed deep in thought and unhappy.

The photo in which Ruto and Mudavadi were captured chatting lively with the Indonesian president as the deputy president stood a few metres away attracted the attention of Kenyans.

Some humorously suggested that Ruto was introducing his preferred successor to the visiting head of state, which might have infuriated Gachagua.

TUKO.co.ke sampled some of the comments:

Tim Tim:

"Why does Gachagua seem to have lost network."

Wokabi Mwaura:

"The fifth introducing the sixth."

George Arthur Shirengo:

"Humbled yourself and work hard you're our Next Excellency."

How can Luhyas win the presidency

Elsewhere, political analyst Herman Manyora insisted that the Mulembe community could win the presidency in future elections.

In a tweet, Manyora said the chances of the Luhya community taking over the country's leadership depended on the choice of the running mate.

Manyora argued that the Luhya could win the presidency if their presidential candidate picked a Muslim as his/her running mate.

According to the seasoned analyst, the Mt Kenya region is finished politically first by allowing President William Ruto to 'swallow' them and secondly by relinquishing their dominance in business to the Somali community.

"Luhya will take over power in this country. They will achieve this by picking a Muslim deputy. The Kikuyu are finished, first by allowing Ruto to swallow them, and, secondly, as Governor Irungu Kang'ata says, the Somali have snatched the economy from them. Kwisha Kikuyu," Manyora said.
