TV Presenter Proposes To Colleague During Newscast In Heartwarming Moment

A news anchor couldn't hide her surprise after her boyfriend proposed to her during a newscast.

Cornelia Nicholson was recording on set at NBC affiliate WRCB when her boyfriend, Riley Nagel, asked for her hand in marriage.

According to Yahoo News, Nagel also works at WRCB as a reporter.

Video of the special occasion, shared on TikTok by Nicholson, showed the TV girl introducing her proposal before Nagel appeared with a bouquet for the “very special report.”

“I thought it’d be fitting to ask you this question here since we met in news,” said Nagel.

He continued:

“Cornelia Nicholson, would you marry me?”

“I’m going to cry!” Nicholson said in response before happily saying yes.

Nagel praises Nicholson

Nagel said they met in Montana four years ago while working at a different news station.

They were attracted to each other and began dating.

“You have such an amazing personality. You’re so bright, and you always light up a room when you come in, and make everyone laugh," a composed Nagel said during the proposal.

Nagel also heaped praise on his partner:

"You’re one of the reasons, or pretty much the main reason I’m still in news today,” he said in the clip. “You’re always pushing me to do better in news and in other aspects in my life.”

Reporter rushing to cover news finds boyfriend proposing

Elsewhere, a TV reporter found herself at the centre of a surprise proposal during what she thought was a routine assignment.

Valerie Bell from WBMA in Birmingham, Alabama, was rushing to cover a breaking news story near a lake.
