Kiambu- The family and friends of Rafael Asudi, who is a former Gor Mahia Footballer has collapsed and died during a football match at Thika Municipal stadium.
Asudi collapsed moments ago on Sunday, August 13, as he was featuring in a friendly match for Seniors FC against Thika Vitambi.
Radio presenter Fred Arocho shared information on his death on social media, and so far, his heartbroken fans are already mourning the talented musician.
"The left-foot player collapsed moments ago at Thika Municipal stadium while featuring in a friendly match for Seniors FC against Thika Vitambi," Arocho posted on social media.

The talented athlete had previously played for prominent clubs like Gor Mahia and Sofapaka.

In May this year, local football fans were left in mourning after the demise of one of their own who met his death in unclear circumstances.
Maurice Chichi was confirmed dead on Sunday, May 28, in Nairobi.
Somewhere in his lifetime, Chichi had a stint with AFC Leopards SC as its treasurer; he continued his fanaticism for the club even after quitting his post.
The club also joined the other quarters in mourning the deceased.
"We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing on of our former treasurer Maurice Chichi Choge. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Chichi's family, friends and relatives. Rest in Peace," said AFC.
Elsewhere, Gor Mahia fans were plunged into mourning following the death of club legend Suleiman Khamis Shamba in 2020.
Shamba reportedly died on Tuesday, June 30, at a Kisumu hospital after kidney failure, with Gor urging fans to keep his family and friends in prayer.
During his playing time, Shamba helped K'Ogalo reach the finals of the 1979 Africa Cup Winners tournament.
