Afida Turner, the wife of Tina Turner's late son Ronnie, has revealed that she wants to have a baby with her husband's frozen sperm.

Ronnie, who was the only biological son of Ike and Tina Turner, died in December 2022 at the age of 62 from colon cancer. Six months later, his mother Tina also passed away at 83 after a long illness.

According to People, Afida, a French-born singer and actress, said that Ronnie had frozen his sperm as a birthday gift to her in late 2021 before he was diagnosed with cancer.

She said that she plans to conceive the baby through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) before her next birthday, which falls on December 22.

"I'm going to have Ronnie's baby," she said.

She clarified:

"'If I can. 'I'm 46. But we'll see."

Adding:

"It's still bad because he's not here, but what can I do? At least I will have a little one that looks like Ronnie. A monster like me and him, can you imagine?"

In an Instagram post, Afida wrote:

"My next step to try for a baby Turner bundle of joy. I appreciate you fans for coming along with me on the family planning journey."

On Thursday, May 25, TUKO.co.ke reported that music fans worldwide were thrown into mourning after music legend Tina Turner passed on.

The iconic musician was ailing and died at her home near Zurich, Switzerland.

According to People, Turner's publicist Bernard Doherty confirmed the musician's death in a statement.

Celebrated TV show host Oprah Winfrey paid a heartfelt tribute to the music legend.

"Tina lived out of the box and encouraged me and every woman to do the same," she remembered Turner.
