Peter Njinu Wambui, a Kenyan man based in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, was involved in a road accident on Tuesday July, 18.
Peter's sister Jane Wangari told TUKO.co.ke that her brother was knocked by a bus while riding his motorcycle and died while being rushed to hospital.
The family received the tragic news through a Vietnamese friend who happened to know that Wangari was the sibling.

She added that the story was confirmed by another Kenyan lady who also works in Vietnam and had visited her family in Kenya.
"She too had gotten the news and was in search of Peter family. She confirmed it, and told us that my brother got into the accident at around 8am," she said.
That not only threw the family into mourning but also kickstarted plans to repatriate the deceased man's remains home for burial.
Wangari explained that she visited the diaspora embassy on July 21 and confirmed that there was a letter notifying them about Peter's death sent from the embassy in Bangkok.
"I was requested to write a letter to the PS diaspora foreign affairs office in Kenya, and to the Kenyan embassy in Bangkok indicating names for those who will receive the body at JKIA," she continued.
Born in Langas ward, Kapseret constituency, Uasin Gishu county, Peter had relocated in August 2019 to work as teacher at Alibaba center.
One of the challenges the family is now facing it raising funds to airlift the body from Vietnam to Kenya, mortuary and any hospital bill in Vietnam, as well as the burial costs.
The estimated budget, Wangari noted, stands at KSh 2.5 million, a figure that is too steep for them as a family.
"We have to transport the body by road to Eldoret where it shall be kept in the mortuary as we wait again for burial preparation," she continued.
It is for this reason that the family appealing to kindhearted Kenyans to help them raise the money through Till Number 6468871 under the name Jacinta Wanjiru Ngugi.
A fundraising will be done on Sunday, July 30, after which preparations will commence for Peter to be laid to rest.
