1. Student taking photos of buses offered dream job

Dan Mwau's is an inspiring tale of what happens when passion meets opportunity, thanks to a hobby he nurtured since childhood.

This is after the young student who found solace and joy in photographing buses turned his unique hobby into a career.

In all those years he stood on the roadside snapping away at buses, it never occurred to him that his dedication to this niche passion would open new horizons for him.

After his story was aired in October 2022, his dedication and passion for bus photography caught the eye of someone at Dreamline Bus Company.

He told TUKO.co.ke that, from time to time, Dreamline Express offers jobs to foot soldiers, which is how one of the drivers named, Harrison Gathii, forwarded the post to one of the bosses.

"Seeing how enthusiastic I was about the industry, I was immediately employed as a booking clerk at their Mlolongo office," he said.

2. Man returns wife to in-laws after she has affair with driver

A Nigerian man, Chukwudi Eze, has returned his second wife, Ndidi N. Okoye, to her family amidst the turmoil caused by her continuous infidelity with a tipper driver.

A video captured the intense scene as Chukwudi's family arrived at their in-law's house with a keg of palm wine, symbolising the return of Ndidi.

Expressing his deep heartbreak, Chukwudi revealed his wife had repeated affairs with the tipper driver.

Amid intense emotions, he firmly declared he could not marry her again because of her unfaithfulness.

In his words:

“I am returning Ndidi N. Okoye to her father’s compound with Akwukwu Ube. I won’t marry this woman again. She is a prostitute. I brought this drink here. This is the place I married Ndidiamaka Hope Okoye.
"This woman wakes up in the morning and meets the tipper man who brings sand to my house and sleeps with him. I cannot marry Ndidi Amaka. This is the drink covered with local pear leaves and her passport. Take your daughter.”

3. Granny takes TikTok by storm with rapping skills

A Kikuyu grandmother has taken TikTok by storm after displaying her jaw-dropping rap skills, with dance and hand motions to boot.

She was flawless in blending the lyrics while switching between native Gikuyu, English, and Swahili, leaving viewers in awe of her talent.

The 57-second video, which was shared by @bishop.stanley8, captures the spirited granny named Mother English in front of a crowd donned in an exquisite flowery kitenge.

Cheered on by the attendees, who could be heard clapping in the background, Mother English confidently delivered the rap verses like a seasoned artiste.

Her flow is impeccable, her rhythm infectious, and her lyrics were a mix of her personal experiences and societal observations.

4. Man whose wife died after delivering twins shares struggles

If someone had told Bradley Wanyonyi months ago that he would be a single dad of premature twins after his wife gave birth, it would have seemed like a big lie.

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Wanyonyi explained that his late wife had a very easy pregnancy, and things only came to a head in the last month.

According to Wanyonyi, his wife had complained of pain, and on July 31, they visited a government dispensary, Mukuru Health Centre, and she was told to go for a scan.

"We got the results, and she was put on treatment; we later went back to the house and slept well," said Wanyonyi on August 17.
"On Tuesday, August 1, I left her in our Pipeline Estate house to go hustle, but in the evening, she called and instructed me to hop onto the nearest motorcycle and rush home. When I arrived home, I found one of the babies on the floor; she had delivered it herself," shared Wanyonyi.

Wanyonyi called their neighbours and a doctor who assisted him in taking her to a hospital in Kitengela.

5. Kenya Airways honours senior flight attendant

Kenya Airways (KQ) celebrated one of its finest employees as she retires.

Flight purser Alice Waweru finally hung her boots after 38 years of a successful career with the carrier.

She enjoyed her final flight as a cabin crew member to John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, United States.

"After nearly 38 years in the skies, flight purser Alice Waweru concluded her remarkable journey with the Pride of Africa. Her tenure as a cabin crew ended with a final flight to JFK, New York.

To honour her for her exemplary service, we mounted a ceremonial water cannon salute which took her by surprise," the company shared on their page.

Family and friends joined the lovely lady as they shared heartwarming moments and celebrated her success.

She was gifted a beautiful bouquet as a token of appreciation for the job well done and warm hugs on her final day at work.

TUKO.co.ke previously featured some top stories, including the story of a DJ from Meru county who fell from grace as he recounted how his career was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on him
