How fast does Hyundai IONIQ charge?

According to Hyundai Kenya, the IONIQ 5 is a game changer in the electric car market, delivering a driving range of up to 500 km and a fast charging time of just 18 minutes.

The car also offers a spacious and comfortable interior, with a larger flat floor, highly adjustable front seats that can be fully reclined, and a flexible centre console.

Hyundai IONIQ 5 brags of cutting-edge technology for intelligent driving, such as Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA), which alerts the driver to slowing or stopped vehicles as well as cyclists and pedestrians in the path and automatically applies full braking power if needed.

Braking system recharges battery

The car also has a regenerative braking system that charges the battery while driving by using the electric motor to slow the vehicle.

The driver can control the level of energy that the system regenerates and stores in the battery by adjusting the level of regenerative braking with the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

The IONIQ 5 is available with two battery options: 58 kWh (Standard Range) or 72.6 kWh (Long Range).

Drivers can choose an all-wheel drive version (AWD) with dual electric motors or a rear-wheel drive version (2WD) with a single electric motor.

The chairman of the Sacco, Nelson Mwangi Nduki, elaborated on how the introduction of this electric bus into their fleet will enhance their ability to offer efficient services to their valued customers.
