Woman Throws Herself Lavish Party After Finalising Divorce: "I Did, I'm Done"

An American woman using the TikTok handle @Chriselle Lim has stunned people after throwing herself a party to celebrate being officially divorced.

How American woman celebrated divorce

Lim was videographed sitting in a restaurant, with a cake in front of her as she blew it off.

The white cake served on a white plate had four strawberries and a written message saying:

"I do. I did. I'm done. I'm free."

She also wore a half-coat top and was seated next to people who donned white outfits too on her table.

"After 2.5 years, it was done. It's finally official. I never wish divorce upon anyone, but the person you become after going through hell, it will completely change you. It's long, it's strenuous, it will test you and it will transform you. It will destroy you and it will even kill a part of you but then something beautiful happens. You are reborn and your perspective on life and on yourself will never be the same. You will shed your old self and rebirth your new self. Thanks to my team and my best friends for surprising me on this very special day. I wouldn't have been able to get through these past few days without you all,' she wrote.

Woman celebrates ending divorce

In a similar stoty, a Ugandan woman identified as Nantongo Immaculate shared she was happily divorced, something not many people can openly say.

In a viral post on Facebook, she explained that it had taken six years to be granted the divorce but it finally came to pass.

She also added that she and her ex-husband had a last meal together to officially go separate ways.
