YouTuber Samuel Wanyoike, popularly known as Wanyoike Wa Mugure, has completed the construction of a new home for Francis Murigu, who spent over two decades living in a cave.

House built for Murigu is complete

Despite being abandoned by his wife and other children, Murigu remained steadfast with his loyal son, weathering life's challenges in the confines of a cave.

The inspiring story came to light when a TikTok user, @judynish5, shared a video of Murigu in distress by the roadside.

This video caught the attention of Samuel Wanyoike, who took it upon himself to locate the man.

Determined to provide a better life for Murigu, Wanyoike facilitated his transfer to Mathari Mental Hospital in Nairobi County, where he could receive the necessary medical care.

However, Wanyoike's efforts did not stop there. Utilising his YouTube platform, he launched a fundraising campaign to build a new home for Murigo.

With the support of kind-hearted well-wishers, the campaign gained momentum and significant progress was made. The house, as Mugure told TUKO.co.ke, is now completed.

House to be handed over in celebratory event

The new home is a beautiful two-bedroom structure made of stone with an iron roof.

The interior is adorned with blue-themed walls and wooden ceilings, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The kitchen is detached from the main house, complete with an inbuilt clay stove, while the toilet and bathroom are also located outside.

"Murigu's house is done..who is like God? Finally we did through the help of God! Murigu will have such a beautiful home.. help me Celebrate our God," said Wanyoike.

Murigu, having been discharged from the hospital, eagerly awaits to move into his new house with his loving son.

A celebratory event is planned to mark the occasion when the house will be handed over to Murigo.

Wellwishers build house for Nyamira blind pastor

In a similar heartwarming story, pastor and gospel artiste Nicodemus Mouko from South Mugirango had been living with his beautiful wife, Immaculate, in a rundown house.

According to Bosongo Vibes, the couple had reached out for help to find better shelter for their three young children, the eldest being seven years.

In the plea put out on May 9, the well-wishers disclosed that they needed 40 iron sheets, roofing and ordinary nails, as well as two trees for house posts and roofing frames.

Seeing how dilapidated the clergyman's house was, kindhearted Kenyans overwhelmingly supported the course.
