What is Ramón Franco's Net Worth?

Ramón Franco is a Puerto Rican-born American film and television actor who has a net worth of $1 million. Ramón (Luis) Franco was born September 12, 1968 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He is best known for his role in the Vietnam Series Tour of Duty where he played the character Alberto Ruiz. He is also known for his role in Clint Eastwood's movie Heartbreak Ridge in 1986 as the character Private Aponte. During his teenage years, he cut his teeth on off-Broadway theatre and worked with the Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre. He appeared in such productions as Sancocho at Joseph Papp's Public Theatre in New York, which led to his first screen appearance in 1979's Boardwalk in which, at age 14, Franco played opposite the legendary Lee Strasberg.

Academics were temporarily shelved in favor of a recurring role as Trimmer on the daytime soap opera Guiding Light, appearances on Hill Street Blues, Miami Vice and the pilot for Stingray as well as roles in the features Deadly Force and BulletProof. A return to the New York stage in early 1986 led to Ramon's most important break up until that point. His performance as the troubled Marine Corporal Acevedo in the Chelsea Theatre production of Wasted drew rave reviews and attracted the attention of actor-turned-director Clint Eastwood, who was then casting for young actors to portray a group of Marines who took part in the U.S. invasion of Grenada in 1984. Ramón (Luis) Franco was the recipient of the Desi Arnaz Vanguard Award, given for being a strong role model and improving the image of Hispanics in the media arts. He was most currently cast in the TV series The Bridge as Mexican cartel leader Fausto Galván.
