Ohangla singer Alusi Tibim is heartbroken following the death of her wife, Cate.

The singer, who embraces tomboy style, announced the death of her partner in a heartfelt post on Facebook.

How did Alusi Tibim mourn partner?

She revealed that her partner had drowned in the river.

"Rest in peace mama Maya. She drowned in the river. You have left my daughters at a tender age. Why? I wonder. Rest easy with angels," she wrote and accompanied it with their picture.

During her funeral, Alusi eulogised Cate as a loving partner.

She also revealed that she had composed a song for Cate because of their love.

"These two kids of hers, I was always there for them when she was alive. She knows it even in death. I am an artiste and I have my own band. My stage name is Alusi Tibim. My songs are on YouTube. There is a song I dedicated to Cate. I mentioned her relatives, whom I had never met. For the love I had for Cate, I hosted a candle lighting, and my fellow artistes joined me," she said.

She also promised to continue supporting the two kids Cate has left behind.

Ohangla singer mops wife's grave

In a separate article, Ohangla singer Aungo Wuod Awendo visited his wife's grave and shared a heartbreaking video of him grooming it.

The musician, whose real name is Silvance Odhiambo, lost his wife, Lorine Achieng, alias Jaber Nyar Onagi days after she gave birth to their baby at Mama Lucy Hospital in Nairobi.

He took to TikTok to post the emotional video, in which he was seen wiping the white-tiled grave with a cloth and a bucket of water.

Aungo captioned the video with a touching message, expressing his disbelief and sorrow over his wife’s demise.
