In a world grappling with climate change, Caleb Burudi, is on an ambitious quest to plant one billion trees by the year 2032.
Burudi told TUKO.co.ke that his vision aligns with President William Ruto’s national goal of cultivating 15 billion trees, contributing significantly to Kenya's greening.
The businessman has planted over one million trees nationwide so far, a milestone that marks just the beginning of his environmental crusade.

In a groundbreaking move, he has secured a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to plant one million trees in every police station across Kenya.
"This will symbolise a united front against the adverse effects of climate change," the CEO and founder of De La Calexo Africa said.
To make his dream a reality, the passionate environmentalist has partnered with several institutions locally and internationally.
Burudi's partners include the International Police Association (IPA), the Western Women's Congress, and the Rotary Club of Gigiri Nairobi.
He requested other willing partners to join his course and amplify his impact to accelerate the journey towards a more sustainable future.
On Thursday, May 2, 2024, his 48th birthday, he planted 48 trees at the former dumping site in Ngong.
"It felt fulfilling to transform the once-barren land into a symbol of environmental rejuvenation," he said with pride.
