Private detective Jane Mugoh, who had the opportunity to meet General Ogolla, expressed her grief and shock at the national loss.
In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, she recounted meeting the fallen hero in 2016 and learning of his esteemed qualities.
According to Mugoh, Ogolla was known for his humility, honesty, courage, and devotion to God.
Reflecting on her interaction with him, Mugoh explained that the general's appointment to government service was based on his extensive experience, knowledge, and impeccable credentials.
Mugoh is the Chief Executive Officer of Trimo Security and Private Investigators Limited and Africa's top spy award winner.
During their conversation, she recalled the general's statement that "every gold must pass through the fire for it to be fine."
"I met Ogolla through late Cabinet Secretary Nkaissery in 2016. He told me that every gold must pass through the fire for it to be fine. He was a dedicated, courageous, honest, patriotic general Kenya will take years to replace," she remarked.
Meanwhile, the burial session was marred with sorrow and gloomy faces from the family and the state officers who were allowed into the burial location.
A KDF officer was captured in tears, as she could not contain herself during the burial of their late boss and commander.
She broke down in tears as she reminisced about her experience with the CDF and the loss that his demise had subjected the country to.
