"Recently, I visited my mother in the village. As always, she was eager to hear about my progress in charity work. I began telling her about my recent visit to Mbeere South, Makima Mwea, where I delivered some food items donated by a friend. When she asked what I had donated, I mentioned cabbages and unga ya ugali. She immediately started praying for me and everyone supporting our charity work," Mwaniki shared.

Can God lift people from humble beginnings?

She added that her selflessness and compassion reminded her mum of God's goodness and how He raises people from poverty to success.

Mwaniki's mother recalled her husband, Mwaniki's late father's struggles to feed and care for the family.

"She later explained that she was reminded of how God can lift people from humble beginnings to success. She recalled how, not long ago, my late father used to go from one homestead to another, borrowing food from villagers, including salt, to feed us.
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported my late father. May God bless you all," Mwaniki wrote.
