Speaking to Citizen Digital, Peter Wachira Kariuki, the father of the late Sergeant Rose Nyawira, who was killed alongside the CDF, recalled his last conversation with her.
He noted he had a candid conversation with his lovely daughter on Sunday, April 14, before she departed.
"She was here on Sunday, and we had a great time together. I also saw her off despite the heavy rains. We will miss her," said a heartbroken Kariuki who hails from Kirinyaga county.
Nyawira's brother, Martin Kinyua, said he was in disbelief when he heard of the passing away of his sister.
"We thought it was a joke until our uncle confirmed her passing. My sister, Ogolla's photographer, had a bright future," Kinyua painfully noted.
In related news, Lorna Omondi Ogolla mourned the shocking loss of her dad.
The daughter shared a throwback photo of her father, who was in the company of president William Samoei Ruto and King Charles III.
She hailed her father as a pursuer of excellence and a man who taught through his actions rather than words.
