Kenyans have not completely moved on from the shocking news of the death of Francis Ogolla, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), who died in a helicopter crash.

His family has been the most affected, as some relatives have revealed more about the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) boss.

The late's elderly sister, Peris Onyango Achieng, could not hide her emotions as she talked about the General.

"We were very close. When I gave birth to a son, I called him Omondi. When he (Ogolla) gave birth to a daughter, he named her Achieng, which is my name. That shows how close we were," she heartbreakingly said.

How old is Francis Ogolla's father?

Onyango noted she and her late brother were planning a one-of-a-kind birthday party for their father.

Their father, Mzee Joel Okech, turned 100 on Sunday, April 21, the day his God-fearing son was laid to rest.

"We were organising Papa's birthday. We gave our children organising the bash. On Sunday, we were to have a thanksgiving because he (Ogolla) built a church that would be dedicated to God," she noted in the interview.

In other news, Ogolla's elderly sister cracked ribs with her glowing tribute to her fallen brother.

Onyango consoled her sister-in-law, Aileen Kathambi Ogolla, revealing Ogolla's last wishes and asked KDF to fulfil them after his death.

The Kenya Defence Forces boss's sister also revealed that Ogolla had earlier demanded to be buried within 48 hours before changing to 72 hours.
