Nakuru - The late former president Daniel Moi's family bid farewell to June Chebet as they laid her to rest at her home in Bahati, Kabarak.
Chebet, who passed away on April 11 after a period of illness, was mourned deeply by her loved ones.
Her daughter Paula, overcome with emotion, tearfully paid tribute to her mother during the burial ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, Eugene Wamalwa, William Kamket, former Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, and ex-Murang'a governor Mwangi Wa Iria.
They offered their condolences and support to Gideon Moi, the former Baringo senator and June's brother.
In his tribute to his sister, the former senator humorously suggested to Wa Iria, who is facing legal troubles, to pray for those pursuing him to have a change of heart.
He remarked on the challenges Wa Iria is facing, urging him to pray for his adversaries to one day find redemption, albeit in the "servant's quarters" of heaven.
"Wa Iria I know you are going through some tribulations. We are encouraged to pray for those who wrong us. Regarding the earlier incident, pray for them so they may also reach heaven but reside in the servant's quarters. Do not worry, God will be with you and you will overcome.," he said.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission had summoned Wa Iria regarding allegations of corruption during his time as governor.
He, along with his spouse Jane Waigwe and six others, were implicated in an illicit tender procurement worth KSh 140 million.
The former governor's wife Jane Waigwe and her brother Solomon Mutura Kimani were arraigned at Milimani Law Courts following their arrest.
The duo were arrested on Wednesday, April 17 by the EACC officers.
The governor and the other seven suspects are alleged to have engaged in the fraudulent award of tenders to two companies in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 fiscal years.
