Tabitha Cherotich, the young girl who impressed many people on tree planting day declared by President William Ruto, has been awarded a fully paid scholarship in a private school.
According to Bomet teacher, Daniel Mutai, Tabitha will now transfer to Zasa Academy, where she will study up to Grade 9.
"The remaining part is now boarding personal items. Thanks Zasa Academy, Congratulations Tabitha," Mutai told TUKO.co.ke in an interview.

In a Facebook post, Mutai shared that Litein Drapers and Uniform shop had offered the girl school uniforms for her new school.
This comes a day after another well-wisher had already bought her uniforms for her current school.

On Friday, May 10, a heartwarming story unfolded as children honoured their visually impaired mother by participating in a national tree-planting day.
Despite facing financial struggles due to their mother's condition, the siblings found hope in the act of planting trees, aiming to alleviate their family's challenges.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the family expressed their aspirations for the trees to provide a sustainable source of income, offering a solution to their ongoing financial difficulties.
