How was Joseph Ombako laid to rest

Identified as Joseph Ombako, the deceased was laid to rest at Lang'ata Cemetery, with Emmanuel taking part in the interment process.

Omondi disclosed that the mother was still struggling with a child's death, calling on the national government to compensate her.

The comedian-turned-philanthropist further revealed that he had paid the grieving mother's rent for a year and deposited an amount to help open a business in her own time.

"The boy walking in front of the casket is Emmanuel. He was Joseph's (the deceased) best friend. They were together when the demolitions brought down the walls and crashed his friend, he was lucky. We laid Joseph to rest today in Langata.
His Mother is not okay at all. We have paid one years rent for her, we have also bought household items for her and Locked 150,000 in an account for her to open a business when she's ready. We call upon the government to compensate this woman because her son was murdered by government bulldozers," he wrote.

How did Ombako die

In an earlier video, an individual asked the Ombako's mother about her family, to which she replied that she is a mother to five children.

Eric narrated that the demolition team inadvertently struck the walls of her home while her son was inside, leading to the collapse of the structure on the young child, resulting in his untimely death.

He has called upon his fans through the now popular sisi kwa sisi initiative to offer financial support to the bereaved mother.

Another boy killed in Mathare demolition

Elsewhere, a woman from Kisumu cried after the tragic loss of her 17-year-old son, who was killed while in their house in Mathare North.

The distraught woman revealed that her son had been battling sickle cell disease.

At the time of his passing, she had left to procure medicine for him.
