A video of passengers wailing as their matatu gets swept by floods has gone viral.

On Tuesday, April 23, heavy rains pounded the country, wreaking havoc in towns and villages.

Nairobi residents have continued to suffer losses following the recent heavy rains that have caused floods in various parts of the city.

A video of passengers in a matatu wailing as their vehicle nearly crashed with a lorry while battling the Nairobi floods went viral.

Another matatu crashed with the lorry, and the floods overturned them. The passengers in the matatu tried scampering for safety in the viral video.

In other news, a video of some Githurai residents sleeping on their roofs went viral on social media, with netizens pitying them.

The video showed a man draped in a Maasai shuka on one of the mabati houses in the wee hours of the mourning.
