Kate travelled to the US at the invitation of US Ambassador Meg Whitman, where she was scheduled to have a state dinner at the White House alongside Ruto and Butita.

The visit also included a scheduled tour of the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, where Kate showcased her unique style.

The coat’s sleeves, ruffled and made from kitenge fabric, complemented her short kitenge skirt, creating a stunning fusion of textures, colours and styles.

The thespian paired the look with simple pearl earrings, purple heels, and a purple clutch, which exuded elegance.
