Nairobi: The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has defended its four officers caught in amateur videos being roughed up by police officers in Turkana.
The quartet was arrested on Wednesday, April 17, and detained at the Lodwar Police Station over alleged assault.
They were accused of beating a police officer manning a roadblock before seizing his AK-47 firearm loaded with ammunition.

Breaking its silence, the Kenyan armed forces said its preliminary probe absolved the soldiers of any wrongdoing.
KDF said the probe was ongoing ahead of the next course of action.
"It has so far been established that; KDF soldiers neither, "assaulted" police officers nor, "stormed" the station as alleged. Joint investigations by the relevant competent authorities to further establish facts on this unfortunate incident are ongoing, and the outcome will inform the next course of action," partly read its statement sent on X (Twitter).
