A recently employed nurse at Kabianga University has sadly lost her life after allegedly being stabbed by her husband, who later took off.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a resident of the area identified as Daktari Kelvin Kipchirchir ufa claimed that on May 20, Enock Melly allegedly stabbed Miriam to death.
Melly then reportedly called his wife's parents, informing them he had fought with her.
"He also called the landlord to confess that he had killed his wife and left her body in the house," claimed Kipchirchir.

"The deceased woman had recently been employed as a nurse at Kabianga University and had not yet received her first salary," he added.
Miriam leaves behind a three-year-old child who, unaware of the tragedy, was heard calling out to her mother to wake up on Monday morning. The alleged perpetrator is currently still at large.
Members of the public were spotted forlornly standing outside Miriam's door as police launched investigations on the matter and subsequently took the young mother's body away.
In other news, on May 11, details of how Sheila Wegesha was found dead at her home in Athi River, Machakos county, emerged.
A neighbour of the couple shared that they usually left their home at night and would stay indoors during the day.
According to the neighbour, Wegesha's kids started screaming at 1pm after discovering her lifeless body in a pool of blood.
Gorry images emerged of the 38-year-old woman's lifeless body in her bed as police arrived to pick it up for the morgue.
