Kimani Mbugua has stirred controversy after revealing that he invested all the money raised by well-wishers into a business venture, leaving himself broke.
During a recent TikTok live session, Kimani disclosed the details, stating that he did not anticipate the business to yield profits anytime soon.
In the session, which was recorded by one of his followers, Kimani lamented his financial predicament, stating;

"Kwa sasa sina pesa. Pesa nilikua nayo, nili invest mahali pengi... Anyone who has worked in a business knows that money doesn't come hivi hivi."
He emphasised his role as the sole employee of his company, handling various tasks from legal matters to marketing and design.
Expressing his desperation, Kimani appealed to his audience for support, acknowledging his current struggle to afford meals.
"I'm an entrepreneur, wewe nidharau tu... And I want you to help me, send gifts nipate ya supper. I'm begging," he pleaded.
Acknowledging the uncertainty of business ventures, Kimani highlighted the challenges of investing without immediate returns.
"Kila mtu anakuaga na siku yake ya kusota, even rich people. Ume invest pesa hapa na hapa na hapa, na pesa haijarudi bado," he said.
"I become a beggar, nitakufa njaa? I beg," he remarked.
The revelation sparked mixed reactions among netizens, with some expressing sympathy for his plight while others scrutinised his financial decisions.
Kenyan TikTok sensation Nyako was the toast of social media after she came through, and in a big way, for the former Citizen TV presenter.
Nyako used her platform to raise an impressive KSh 500,000 for the troubled media personality who left rehab a few days ago.
Even more interesting is that the money was raised in one and a half hours, a commendable feat by all standards.
Mbugua, a familiar face to many as a seasoned TV presenter, found himself in the doldrums after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
