He is currently being held at Kiamaciri Police Station in the Mwea-West sub-county, where he will be presented in court and charged with murder.

How did detectives arrest Phillipino Muifi?

According to Mworia, the suspect had stolen the woman's phone, which was found at his aunt's place in Nairobi.

After the arrest and questioning by police, the aunt said she would cooperate with the officers to ensure the accused was arrested.

"After the court allowed us to hold the aunt, further investigations were still ongoing, until she was able to convince the suspect to come back as she had secured a job for him in Kenya, and the police were able to nab him in Nakuru," Mworia stated.

The accused reportedly murdered his employer, whom he had lived with in the village for over five years.

Her body was discovered by her neighbour, who later informed the police.

Mworia stated that the police are still holding the suspect's aunt, who might be used as state witness in the case.
