Kisii - Police in Kisii county have launched investigations after a man was killed at his home in Bonyakakoni village.

Wesley Okindo: What led to the deadly dispute

Citizen Digital reported that Wesley Aringa Okindo, aged 28, was allegedly stabbed to death by his wife, Sheilla Nyanckoka Ombati.

Preliminary investigations suggest Sheilla stabbed her husband using a kitchen knife following a domestic dispute.

According to the police report, Okindo, who works as a matatu tout, arrived home late at night and engaged in a scuffle with his wife before she picked up the knife and stabbed him in the chest.

Okindo, in great pain, opened the door and stepped outside. There, he collapsed and passed away just a few metres from their rented house.

“The deceased opened the door and went outside, where he fell down a few metres from their rental house and died,” read the police report.

Officers from Ibeno Police Station and the Kisii Central DCI were called in and arrested the 22-year-old woman.

Detectives recovered the murder weapon, which had blood stains, and the deceased’s body was moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, awaiting a post-mortem.

In other sad news, clouds of grief and sorrow engulfed Matura village in Kinangop, Nyandarua county, after a father turned against his blood.

Chege Kahuhia is alleged to have killed his 3-year-old son and tortured his two daughters, aged two and three years, respectively.

According to residents, the suspect confessed to killing his son and painfully torturing his daughters.

The neighbours said the suspect has a mental illness, leading to his heinous acts against the minors.
