CNN International correspondent Larry Madowo enjoyed a delightful meal of fried flying termites and ugali.
In a video shared on his Instagram, the media personality showcased the crunchy dish, well-known in the Western Kenya region.
Larry praised its nutritional value, emphasising that it was a healthy breakfast option.

"These are flying termites. Very popular in Western Kenya. I grew up with these. They are attracted to lights, and that's how we catch them. Very crunchy as you can see and great for breakfast by the way. Oh my God! This is fine, so nutritious," he said.
Shortly thereafter, he completed consuming the termites and enthusiastically licked his fingers to express his satisfaction.
He playfully encouraged his fans to try these delicious bugs, asking:
"Do you eat termites? Why are you sleeping on these delicious bugs?"

Previously, the reporter shared his experience after he visited Nigeria three times in 2024.
Madowo said that each time he takes a trip to Nigeria, he is charged $215 (about KSh 28,000) for a single-entry visa.
He said that, for the three times he visited Nigeria in 2024, he had paid $645 (KSh 83,000).
Madowo also said that the authorities took his fingerprints each time he applied for the visa, even though they remained the same.
