The posts revealed the emotional turmoil she was grappling with behind her facade of strength, as shown in photos she shared online.
One particularly striking video on TikTok showcased Shiro's outward portrayal of resilience while confessing to the battles she silently fought beneath the surface.
Despite her attempts to project a brave front, it seems she was wrestling with inner demons that ultimately remained unseen.
In another video, Shiro made a heartfelt plea for employment, possibly indicating financial hardships or a desperate need for stability in her life.
The countdown she initiated in anticipation of something significant suggested a sense of urgency.
However, perhaps the most haunting revelation came from a video in which Shiro expressed her sincere wish for her loved ones not to shed tears upon learning of her demise.
As these distressing videos and posts come to light, questions arise about the support systems in place for individuals like Shiro who may be silently suffering.
Roselyn Kigen, a practising marriage and family therapist who works with clients to improve mental health conditions, spoke to TUKO.co.ke and shared how one can spot potential signs of risk in others.
She pointed out the significance of observing changes in behaviour, such as social withdrawal or sudden mood swings, could offer valuable clues about someone's mental well-being.
"Listening for statements that convey feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness, even if they seem subtle, can provide insight into an individual's emotional state," said Kigen.
"Phrases like 'I can't go on anymore' should be taken seriously," she added.
In other tragic news, police launched investigations following the death of a 29-year-old woman and her 5-year-old child in Kabironi village, Kirinyaga county.
Gichugu sub-county Police Commander Johnson Wachira said the woman, identified as Moreen Wangui Munene, fell into Nyamindi River with her child strapped on her back and drowned.
The woman's uncle, Stephen Maembe, said the motives for her actions remain unknown, adding a watchman at a coffee factory witnessed the incident and raised the alarm, but it was too late.
The shocked family said the woman had visited her grandparents and was last seen washing clothes before she mysteriously disappeared.
Her grandmother, Fridah Njoki, says Wangui and her daughter had come to visit her. Her parents, who are civil servants, work in Embu County.
